Nijel was a Performance Apprentice at Theatre Aspen in Aspen, CO for Summer 2022. There, he appeared in Gypsy directed by Hannah Ryan (Hamilton Resident Director), as well as a swing for Jersey Boys. He also collaborated with other peers and artists to create three cabarets.

Nijel was most recently in WaterTower Theatre’s production of Jesus Christ Superstar as Peter! Nijel was been described as "impressive and appealing" and "[had] the acting and leading chops to be a leading man."

Directed by Marc Bruni (Beautiful: The Carol King Musical) and conducted by Andy Einhorn (Hello, Dolly!) at the Aspen Music Festival. The production starred Brandon Victor Dixon (Hamilton, The Color Purple) and Christy Altomare (Anastasia).

Nijel made his Water Tower debut in their production of The Bridges of Madison County.

Nijel was seen on stage in the orchestra for Lyric Stage’s Production.
